Last Saturday, KEPO completed the first phase of the Kahnawà:ke Food Forest with the help of local volunteers. In total, 6 apple trees, 3 plum trees, 2 shagbark hickory and 3 walnuts were planted, along with many other plants and shrubs such as strawberries, raspberries, chokecherries, highbush cranberries, and medicines. We were also able to add 3 pawpaw trees that were generously donated by community members.
